Bio

Yes – I am a millennial trapped in a boomer body, with a lot of energy, tech curiosity, and work experience. I really, really enjoy the challenge of putting on your shoes and doing my best to see the world as you do; I believe this is an absolute must, in order to write content on your behalf and speak with your voice.

Just to be fair, I’ll give you a quick tour of my head, so we’re even. I have several resumes – one or each major area of expertise. Below the resumes is the Resume Walk-Through – a quick and dirty romp through my life, or, at least, the parts that might be interesting to you if you are looking to partner up on a project.

If you’re short on time, you can cut to the chase and contact me now so we can get started!

Resume Walk-Through

The Best Job I Ever Had

The one I’m doing right now – writing and designing for you!

Remote Administrative Everything

Administrative Assistant to my busy executive spouse – logistics, scheduling, phone calls, correspondence, customer service and trouble-shooting. And – of course – complex spreadsheets, graphic design, technical writing, and other tools to help him shine!

Exploring the Universe

At-home mom and on-call creative designer and technical writer for friends and family. Weathered and enjoyed my first encounter of the internet kind, and fell in love with the magic of websites.

The Second Best Job I Ever Had

Software Technical Documentationalist in small development companies where I wore many hats – trainer, UX designer, internal content manager, illustrator, ghostwriter, help desk manager, medical record expert, and accounting module mind-melder.

And Now, For Something Completely Different!

Tried my hand at HR management for the Volunteers of America – what a tremendous experience!

The Hospital Scene

The job I trained for – hospital medical record department director. Before the internet, and before people like me were thought of as computer people or accounting people…

Loma Linda University Days

Serious days – learning everything about the practice of medicine that I would need to know in order to read and understand doctors’ handwriting:)

South Korea - Oh Yeah!

Gap year/mission service teaching conversational English to Korean business people and university students. And to housewives who wanted something really fun to do!

Undergrad Cores at La Sierra University

Crazy college days, but not the kind of crazy I hear about in party schools. Hmmm…

Native Born Nerd

Nerded out at an early age – labeled and sorted my parents’ extensive book collection according to the Dewey Decimal System. As a teen, begged to help Dad with policy manuals and computerized data management – on a big Olivetti mag tape machine.
